REDESIGN

THE TASK

In summer 2019 our university started a collaboration with the marketing department of the Mercedes Benz headquarter in Munich. Our brand- and communica-tion design semester should create an 120 sec. explana-tory video, that shows one of four defined features of the brand new CLA Coupé, which was made to reach a younger target audience. The way of realisation was
completely up to us.

The defined features were:
- design elements
- engineering data | technical specifications
- safety highlights | driving assistance systems
- comfort | MBUX system

REALISATION
​
Our team of three people chose the feature "design elements". Our intention was to create an explanatory video, that takes up the visual language of previous Mercedes videos and keep explanations to a minimum, because the potential target group of the CLA Coupé is more visually based.
Furthermore, we find the design of the new sportive Mercedes CLA Coupé is self-explanatory, when it is shown in detail. With that we wanted to create an aes-thetic video, that brings the car - out of the dark - to life and let the viewer explore the details of the car's design elements. I hope you enjoy watching it!
